World War One Gallipoli Movie

In the movie Gallipoli I believe that the director was a bit confused, because when Archie and Frank were training for the war at the start of the movie the way the director showed all the friends they were making and also all of the fun they were having partying made it like it was good to join the army. But then closer to the end of the movie when all of those Australians where getting slaughtered especially when Archie got shot at the end was like it was bad to join the army. So the movie was partly sad but also a quite funny and happy movie.

The part of the movie in which affected me the most would’ve had to been the ending, which was the part where Archie was shot three times in the chest. It affected me because according to the movie Archie and all of his fellow soldiers didn’t need to die. If Frank got there on time Archie and the other soldiers wouldn’t have ran out of the trenches where they had died.

In the World War One Gallipoli movie it was both sad and happy at times, the director showed the good and bad during war. The good side of the movie would have been when Archie and Frank were making new friends when they were partying and also all the laughs they had. The sad part of the movie was when Archie had died at the very end.

Thank you for reading my short blog on the movie Gallipoli I hope you enjoyed it and learnt something new.

British Colonization of Australia

aborigine-5

The reason why the British colonised Australia was because of the fact that the British needed a place for their convicts to stay. So the convicts, soldiers and doctors set sail looking for a place to settle. That’s when they found Australia.

When the Aborigines first saw the British settlers they thought they were possums and thought the ships were over sized canoes with giant weird animal skins on the top of it.

When the British landed the Aborigines couldn’t tell which of them were men and which of them where women, because of the fact that they had cloths, all of this was very different for the Aborigines. It was very hard for the aborigines due to the way they were treated. Some of them were used as slaves, servants and a lot of them killed and kept in prison.

The British settlers destroyed the Aborigines land separating children and adults from there family. They brought a sickness to Australia called the smallpox, which killed a lot of the Aborigines quite quickly. When having the small pox you would notice a lot of white dots on your face. You would feel very cold at one stage and then feel very hot. The small pox was very contagious, so when an Aborigine had the small pox the rest of the clan would have to leave the sick behind letting them die. That’s why it was a terrible experience for the Aborigines to go through when the British colonized Australia.
